Pathfinders is specifically designed for children who may be experiencing their first overnight camp! Our caring staff are trained to help young campers adjust to being away from home. We create a warm, supportive environment where homesickness is addressed with compassion and understanding.

We take allergies and dietary restrictions very seriously. During registration, you’ll have the opportunity to detail any dietary needs, and our kitchen staff will work to accommodate them. Please contact us directly if you have specific questions about what we can provide.

Safety is our top priority! All staff members undergo background checks and extensive training. We maintain appropriate camper-to-counselor ratios, have trained lifeguards at all water activities, and have 24/7 medical staff on-site. Our facilities are regularly inspected and maintained to the highest safety standards.

We’ll send you a detailed packing list after registration! Generally, campers need bedding, toiletries, weather-appropriate clothing, swimwear, a water bottle, a Bible, and closed-toe shoes. We recommend labeling everything with your child’s name. Leave electronics and valuables at home!

While we don’t allow phone calls during the short weekend camp (it can increase homesickness), you can write letters or emails that we’ll deliver! In case of emergency, our office staff is available 24/7 and will contact you immediately if needed. We also post photos on social media so you can see your camper having fun!

No problem! We assess each camper’s swimming ability upon arrival and provide appropriate flotation devices. Our trained lifeguards supervise all water activities, and non-swimmers can participate safely in shallow-water activities. We also offer swimming instruction for interested campers!
