Stay Connected This Summer!

Whether you are dropping off your child for the first time or 11th and final time, it is tough as a parent to say goodbye for days, usually a week at time! It is so common to hear parents “I wish I was staying all week!” as they head home (by the way, if you are a parent and want to stay at camp all week I HIGHLY recommend Family Camp…). Since staying with your camper all week long might not be exaaaactly their favorite thing in the world, we will do the best we can to make sure you stay in touch with what is going on during the week while your camper is having the time of their life at PLCBC. This summer, here are the best ways to stay connected and maybe even catch a glimpse of your child!

Each week, we will be posting the photos our media team takes of cabins, games, activities, chapels, EVERYTHING! An album will be created for each session and added to two or three times weekly. This is the best way to see what is going on at camp and all the fun, craziness, and life-changing experiences! Another great bonus to having photos on Facebook is that you can easily save any you wish to have for your own collection! So make sure you “like” Portage Lake Bible Camp on Facebook! The Blog

The Portage Lake Blog is going to be much more active this summer. Last summer, we created the “Parent Guide” which gave overviews of each day. The blog will not be as specific, but it will give a lot of insight into what is going on during a week of camp! Summer staffers will be posting throughout the summer so it will be a great mix of awesome contributors! Get excited to hear about the ministry of Portage Lake from the eyes of the people who are making it all happen! Blog updates will also be posted to camp’s Facebook and Twitter pages when they are available.

I know, it’s mostly for the kids, but we will be posting to Instagram almost every day! The photos will be linked to our Facebook page as well, but just so you know it’s an option!

Our Snapchat account might just be the best way for you to see what is going on during the week! We will be constantly posting to our “Story” so add username “portagelake” and follow along! Our Snap story will also have some funny behind the scenes moments so you definitely won’t want to miss out!
