FAQ’s:

Is it safe?

The safety of group members is our main concern.  All participants are trained by experienced instructors.  All Portage Lake equipment is state-of-the-art and is checked thoroughly by the Portage Lake staff before each use.  Each person is challenged to complete the course, but all that is required is a desire to try.

Group Size

A minimum of eight people are required to go through the course.  If your group is larger, then the Portage Lake staff will separate you into groups of 8 to 12 people.  We can adapt our low course curriculum to meet the individual needs of your group.

How Much Time?

The ropes course can easily be a day-long activity if you want it to be.  The morning session would cover the low course initiatives and the afternoon would be spent on the high ropes course.  It takes about 5 hours to move a group of thirty completely through the course.

Making Arrangements

You and your group can make arrangements to use the Ropes Course at Portage Lake simply by contacting us.  We would love to create a ropes course experience to help your group improve community and relationships.

Ropes Course Fees for Day Guests are $25.00 per person.  Lunch Catering arrangements can be made – please call the office for more information.

A minimum of $250.00 is required from all groups (approximate minimum of 10 participants).
