Getting to PLCBC in 1, 2, 3!
A week at camp can be one of the most fun times in a child’s early life, but it can also be so much more valuable than that. We know that you, as parents, want your child to become joyful followers of Jesus Christ in a world that desperately needs Him. Portage Lake is a place where relationships are formed, distractions are limited, and fun is had (SO much fun!). However, most importantly, PLCBC is a place where God moves in meaningful ways in the heart’s and live’s of campers. Last summer, 85 campers gave their lives to Jesus Christ for the first time, and 284 campers recommitted their lives to Him. At camp, every life is impacted for Christ and by Christ in limitless ways. Please consider allowing Portage Lake to partner with you in helping your children experience the love of Jesus, and learn to be followers of him for the rest of their lives. If you are a parent who is considering sending a child to camp, or if you know of someone who is, it can be as easy as one, two, three!
Step 1: Watch this video
This is the video for Summer 2017. The theme is ROOTED and we are super excited to talk about rooting ourselves in love so that we can experience Jesus in incredible ways. Check it out!
2. Register online
The easiest way to register for camp is online, but there is also hard copies found in the 2017 Summer Brochure. Whether you have registered with camp before or not, it is super easy to sign your child up! A $50 deposit is required upon registration, and scholarships are available through PLCBC and many Covenant churches. If you’re not sure which week is best for your child, check out our 2017 Summer Schedule and learn about each one.
3. You’re in!
It’s that easy! Camp will send out parent information as we get closer to summer, and be on the lookout for church visits throughout the spring, social media posts, emails, and more! You can also check out our Parent Information page for all the information you may need. Each week this summer at PLCBC is bound to be a time of endless fun, excitement, adventure, and connection with the one true God, and we would love to share that experience with you, your child, and your family!
