VIVID 2018: Behind the theme
Have you ever been to a 3D movie and taken the glasses off for a second to sneak a peak? It doesn’t look as pretty. Lines are blurred, there’s weird splotches of red and blue, and the images just don’t really make sense. But once you put the 3D glasses back on and view the same image with a different lens, you see lively, clear, colorful images that come out and almost touch you as you sit and enjoy the film the way it was meant to be.
Sometimes, life can kind of be like a 3D movie. Life is still happening, everything is still there, but it can be blurry, confusing, and not make much sense without the proper lens. However, when you see and experience life the way it was meant to be, through the lens and life of Jesus Christ, life becomes full of color, clarity, and meaning. That’s what summer 2018 at PLCBC is all about!
Colossians 1:15 says, “Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation.” VIVID 2018 is all about seeing and experiencing life through the lens of Christ! Using this visual of 3D glasses bringing out the vividness of experiences, camp is going 3D all summer long! Get excited for lots of reds and blues and tons of visually exciting sets, ideas, and games as we explore the idea of seeing the vivid life we were created to experience.
